Priya Chandran & Jackson Reese

Priya had grown up in Marietta and shot three films across Georgia before she learned to call the state home. Jackson had grown up in Birmingham and moved to Atlanta for his MPH. Their schedules were impossibly different — hers elastic, his meeting-heavy — and they built their first months of dating around short Saturday windows.

They made a habit of slow weekend breakfasts in Virginia-Highland and long walks at Piedmont Park when the light was kind. On their second trip together they drove to Savannah, ate at a small place near Forsyth Park, and talked about cities they would never leave.

They were married in a small ceremony at a historic home in Inman Park. Priya’s parents flew in from Bangalore; Jackson’s flew in from Tuscaloosa. Everyone agreed the reception stayed too late and the cake was eaten in full.
